Privacy & Data

Your privacy, in plain terms

Last updated: September 2026

Your data belongs to you

Your journals, goals, habits, vision boards, memories, and community posts are yours. We never sell your personal data, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers. You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from Settings.

What we collect

  • Account info: your name and email (used to sign you in and personalize your experience).
  • Content you create: journal entries, goals, habits, vision boards, memories, and community posts.
  • Progress and usage: streaks, points, check-ins, and feature activity that power your dashboard.

How we use it

  • To provide and personalize the features you use (journals, goals, community, digests, reports).
  • To generate AI insights, coaching, and summaries — only when you use those features.
  • To process subscription payments and keep your plan active.

AI features & your privacy

Features like the AI Coach, AI Insights, and the Voice Assistant send relevant context to our AI provider to generate a response. You're in control: AI Coach context sharing is on by default but can be turned off anytime in Settings — when off, the coach only knows what you share in that session.

Journal entries, memories, and direct messages are private by default and are never shown in the community feed unless you explicitly share them.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed securely by Base44 Payments (powered by Wix Payments). We do not see or store your full card number — payment details are handled entirely by the payment provider. We only store your subscription tier and status so we can unlock the right features for you.

Crisis safety

If you're in immediate danger or thinking about hurting yourself, please reach out now. You deserve support, and people are ready to help — right now, for free, any time of day.

If you're struggling right now

  • Stay where you are and reach out to one of the contacts above, or someone you trust.
  • If you're in immediate physical danger, call your local emergency number right away.
  • Try to remove or step away from anything that could be used to harm yourself.
  • You don't have to be alone — a single call or text can be the first step toward safety.

Signs to watch for

  • Talk or writing about death, feeling hopeless, trapped, or being a burden.
  • Withdrawing from friends, activities, or things that usually matter to you.
  • Sudden mood swings, giving away possessions, or saying goodbye.
  • Increased use of alcohol or drugs, or reckless behavior.

How Elevate responds

Elevate is a motivational and journaling tool — not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. If you share thoughts of self-harm, suicide, or serious distress with an AI coach, we'll gently surface these crisis resources and encourage you to reach a licensed professional. Our coaches never provide medical advice or diagnosis.

Security, retention & your rights

  • Data is stored securely and access is restricted to you (and admins for moderation/safety).
  • Deleted journals are soft-deleted for 15 days, then permanently removed. You can delete your account anytime in Settings.
  • You can access, correct, or delete your data, and manage privacy toggles (AI context sharing) in Settings.
  • Elevate is not intended for children under 13.

Where you can use Elevate

Elevate is available as a web app today, and works great in your mobile browser. Native Android and Apple (iOS) apps are coming soon.
